Relationship Counselling can help (GLBTQ) people to:
- Understand the relationship they currently share;
- figure out what they now want from their relationship and from each other;
- understand how they contributed to making the relationship how it is; and
- discover and practice new ways of interacting.
Although couple work is the most common type of relationship counselling, clients can self refer to discuss any relationships, for example people might attend with a friend, their mother or father, a sibling, their adult child, an ex-lover or a potential surrogate or sperm donor.
