Some of my highlights

Jessica is a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (#10402185) and a longstanding member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association. In addition to a post graduate degree in art therapy, Jessica also holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Jessica specializes in the treatment of complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, the effects of family separation, and the effects of family violence. She has practiced art therapy in Kamloops since 2012 and she has over ten years of experience in the human service field including supporting vulnerable youth, families in crisis, and youth and adults with developmental disorders.

Jessica works with children, adolescents, and adults. While art therapy is often associated with children, it is a beneficial mode treatment for clients of all ages. Art therapy is a gentle yet effective way of working with feelings that are hard to name, for processing grief and loss, and for processing early and complex trauma. Jessica believes that treatment should be individualized to fit the unique needs of the client. Her proficiency in both art therapy and verbal counselling techniques allow her to create truly individualized service based on the unique needs of each client.

Jessica believes that everyone holds within themselves the wisdom to heal and grow. She holds the belief that her clients are the experts on their lives and that they are capable and knowledgeable, even though they may not feel it themselves. She is committed to walking alongside the client during their healing journey and to helping them re-discover their power.
